Original: There is nothing as sweet as a Springer puppy and Nula is no exception! She is a bundle of joy and is as soft as velvet. She has normal puppy behavior with bursts of energy and excitement; then, she needs an hour of down time to recharge. She is adjusting well to crate training and with a little whimper or whine she generally falls asleep quickly. If she wakes in the night for a quick run outside, she returns to her crate and beds back down until daylight. She loves consistency in her day and that is helping her with her housetraining.
Nula generally sits calmly while waiting to be leashed and she is learning to give a signal when nature calls. Chasing leaves and hunting for sticks are two of her favorite outside activities. Nula is inquisitive about the neighbor’s dog and she has adjusted well to her older, canine foster brother and sister as well. She is pretty self-confident and bold, no shying away from anything. Her foster brother is a big, older Springer and she scares HIM! Her foster sister is a six-year-old, dominant female terrier, and they started playing with each other within a week. She loves to play with them, but doesn’t always know when they want to quit. She is learning to identify when they are in the mood to play and when it is best to entertain herself. Nula also has two teenagers in her foster family–13 and 16– and she loves playing with them. She loves tennis balls and chewies but is not overly-protective of her things.
Nula has built in springs and loves to launch in your lap for a quick kiss or a nibble on your ear, but she is learning to wait for an invitation before leaving her dog bed for higher ground. She also loves the occasional car ride. Showing no anxiety, Nula alternates between peeks out the window and quick naps once she is on the road with her foster parents. She has shown little inclination to go in after trash unless the stray paper towel is too close to the edge. Newspapers, tissues and the random shoe have also caught her fancy, but she will drop her treasure at the first “No” and will find other ways to occupy herself. Although Nula has not met any cats, she is so young that she could easily learn to get along with them.
She is an exceptional beauty, and about as awesome a Springer puppy as anyone could hope for. Will you make Nula the love of your life in her forever home?
