Original: Murphy is up to date on his shots, and will be tested for heartworm shortly and put on preventative. His owner is going through a divorce and recently moved to an apartment. Murphy was used to living in a house with a yard and is not adjusting well at all. Murphy is left alone and tied up in the apartment all day while his owner is at work. It appears that he has separation anxiety and has become rather destructive of walls and doors trying to get to his owner. This is a common condition, and may be treatable with medication. He is a real love and wants to be by your side all the time.
Murphy was originally obtained by the owner when he was just a pup from someone who placed a ad in a local newspaper. He is housebroken and does not sleep on the furniture. He prefers a comfy spot on the floor next to the bed. He is not crate trained. We’re not sure how he is around other dogs, but he does get along fine with cats. He was raised with a child who is now 15 years old. He has a pleasant temperament and has never bitten or attacked anyone. In fact, even after being disciplined, he will come over to you looking for forgiveness. His owner is desperate to find him a new home so he will not have to be put down. Murphy would make a great companion for someone who is retired, or for a family with someone home during the day, or perhaps a nursing home or seniors center.
