Original: Murdock is a sweet, little 40-pound bundle who was relinquished by his original owners when the demands of a young, growing family limited the time they had for him. Without the attention he needed, it seemed as if this otherwise well-mannered pup was becoming somewhat mischievous. His family felt he could better reach his potential with more hands-on activity with the people around him.
A typical Springer pup, Murdock has a wonderful personality and is very energetic and playful. He gets along fine with everyone including children as young as 4 years of age. He is the only dog in his foster home, but he has met other dogs on his walks and gets along with them. He met 3 cats at the vet’s office and didn’t bother them. He does love to chase squirrels though what Springer doesn’t?!?
His foster parents crate Murdock when they are not home and he is very good in the crate. He sleeps in their room at night. Murdock is housebroken and has had no accidents in the house since his arrival. He has never had any formal obedience training so his foster parents are working with him on some basics, including leash training. Furthering his training will be the responsibility of his adopting family and should be quite a lot of fun with this willing pupil.
Murdock has a deep bark when he hears something going on outside but stops barking when told to. He does not counter surf, trash pick, or chew on anything. He has brought his foster mom’s shoes to her from time to time, but with no damage whatsoever……….very nice!!
After he has been sufficiently exercised and played with, Murdock is content to lay down and watch TV with his foster dad. Sometimes his foster parents think his name should be “Shadow” because he is always beside one of them! All in all, Murdock is just one happy puppy and will share his infectious happiness with a forever family very soon!!
