Original:“Mozart loves to snuggle when tired, kiss her foster mom’s face, play with toys, eat, and spend time outdoors.”
As a Springer breeder in Virginia was dying, she asked that her dogs be placed in MAESSR homes. One of the dogs was pregnant and Mozart is one of six puppies born in her litter. The pups stayed with their mom in one foster home until they were weaned. Then, they were divided in groups of two and sent to new foster homes.
Mozart came to her current foster home with her sibling, Cezanne. Together, they immediately took to the resident two-year-old Springer in the house. They follow her every move, learning how to behave from following her lead. Her foster parents have been practicing ringing the bells on the back kitchen door before the girls are let out to do their business. This way they hope to imprint a potty signal in the girls’ heads. Mozart is crate trained, and is still learning to sleep through the night.
Mozart loves to snuggle when tired, kiss her foster mom’s face, play with toys, eat, and spend time outdoors. The neighborhood kids are in love with the two sibling puppies. Mozart gets excited to see the kids and knows they are coming over to pet and play with her. So far, she has only met kids and the resident dog; she has not been exposed to cats.
Mozart’s a little more low-key than her sister, but still is a typical active puppy. She loves to wrestle with her sibling and climb on the resident Springer.
The sisters have taken a few car rides and are noisy little girls during the trip, but that will change as they go out for more adventures. They are shining stars when they visit the veterinarian. Mozart received a clean bill of health at her first trip and is actively getting her puppy vaccinations according to schedule.
Potential adopters should note that MAESSR only places puppies in homes that are committed to training and bonding with the puppies in obedience class. Puppies require a lot of care, attention, and patience, and they do chew on things. The decision to get a puppy, and raise it to be a healthy, happy, well adjusted dog is a serious commitment. To reinforce this commitment, MAESSR requires all adopters of dogs one year and younger to enroll in puppy obedience classes within 60 days of adoption.
If you like to snuggle with a sweet Springer baby and have your face smothered in kisses, Mozart just might be the girl for you!
