Montgomery is enjoying his new family!

Montgomery is Neeko’s littermate. He came into rescue with 4 other Springers – his father, a female and 2 other puppies. Owen has the same father but a different mother.
Montgomery, a liver and white AKC-eligible pup, is a fine specimen of a 3-month-old puppy who goes by Montie until he grows into his British general’s name. He likes to chew but stays away from shoes and other valuables, seeming to prefer paper. He’s trying hard to learn how to let us know that it’s time to go outside but does have some accidents along the way. Nicely crate-trained, he will cry for a very short time and settle in for the night. In the morning when Montie wakes, he waits quietly for us to come for him.
Montie likes the three resident cats, and, in some cases, the feeling is mutual. He loves his two older springer uncles and romps with them constantly. He really enjoys ransacking the cats’ litterboxes for a snack, and needs to be separated from the source.
He comes when called, sits when asked, and loves to explore his neighborhood, learning a little more every day about walking agreeably on a leash.
A real water dog, Montie continually hunts for bodies of water and gives himself a good soak. This little guy is one affectionate gem, eager to give hugs and kisses to all he meets.
