Original: “Adding a mature Springer to your family is a wonderful experience!”
After living together happily with their Virginia owner for over a decade, seniors Molly 45 and Maggie 34 became MAESSR girls after their owner passed away. Always having been well loved and well cared for, they are a lovely pair of seniors. They have been together since they were puppies and they get along very well. Although they like each other, they don’t necessarily have to be placed together.
Molly and Maggie LOVE children. When friends of their foster family bring over their 3 and 8 year old children, these Springer girls are in heaven. They are positive that the children came to see them! They had always been around the grandchildren of their previous owner and they would love to have some children in their forever homes.
Getting along well with other dogs but still assertive, Molly will tell other dogs if they get too far into her space, but she is not nasty about it. If the dog traffic in her foster home gets too much for her, Molly just goes into her open crate to lie down and chill out for a while—a real advantage of being crate trained! At night she much prefers to sleep on the recliner if it is available.
Molly is totally housetrained and has wonderful house manners. She also rides well in the car and actually loves to travel.
Molly has a small amount of arthritis which is being treated successfully with a glucosamine supplement and a NSAID. She now bounds around the house like she is 2 years old!
This is one SWEET girl. Adding a mature Springer to your family is a wonderful experience!
