Original: When the male ESS in Molly’s family was a puppy, they got along well; however, when he became an adult, Molly became aggressive towards him. She had been adopted from a shelter when she was young, and she had had a litter of puppies, so Molly’s owner does not know what had happened in her past that made her intolerant of other adult dogs. Molly’s owner contacted MAESSR to get help in finding her a new home where she could be an only dog.
Molly is settling into her foster home nicely. This lovely houseguest has beautiful manners. She is completely house trained and would never dream of counter-surfing or getting into the trash. She is not a chewer or a barker; instead, she tends to be a quiet, laid back girl except when visitors come calling. Then, in her excitement, Molly does jump up on them, but her foster parents are working on changing this behavior. Basic commands such as come, sit, and no are in Molly’s repertoire and she walks well on a leash. Other than a little, very soft snoring, Molly sleeps soundly through the night.
At her vet appointment, Molly was a big hit with all the techs and the vets. She was even the perfect little lady with the other dogs in the office and flew through her check-up with flying colors. She is a very healthy girl and as sweet as can be.
Molly is a bundle of energy outside in the snow. She just loves it! Inside, she is a couch potato. She loves to snuggle with her foster parents. In her previous home, Molly would cuddle with the resident cats and she is delighted that there are cats in her foster home now. The resident cats are warming up to Molly slowly and she is very patient with them. She does not chase them or bark at them; she just sits and observes them quietly. They will be nestled together in no time!
This wonderful Springer girl will be a great addition to a home where she is the only dog. Molly would enjoy some feline friends, too!
