Original:
Molly was picked up as a stray in Virginia and taken to animal control who noted a severe ear infection. For that reason she was placed in an approved foster home so she could receive proper medical treatment. In that foster home she did very well while living with four other dogs and nine cats. Once the ear infection improved, MAESSR was lucky enough to get the call and Molly came to them.
Since being in her MAESSR foster home, Miss Molly has not put a paw wrong. She has the sweetest temperament and seemingly nothing can ruffle this older girl. She has impeccable house manners and is totally housebroken, thus receiving complete freedom in the house. There is no counter-surfing, getting into the trash, jumping on people, or getting on the furniture for this polite senior! Also, she is quiet and rarely barks. When the leash comes out, Molly is ready because she loves to go for walks and she behaves well on lead. She also likes car rides and will sit happily and quietly in the back seat for as long as you want. After a busy Springer day, she sleeps through the night in the bedroom on a dog bed.
As with many “mature” springers, Molly has a little arthritis in her hips and back legs. She takes a daily supplement to help with that. While sleeping and then upon getting to her feet, Molly also exhibited very mild urinary incontinence, but that has been resolved with an inexpensive daily medication. Both of these medications she takes as if she is being given a treat. Her foster home continues to medicate her ears with Molly showing no resentment during the administration of the meds. Her appetite is good and she’s just an all around happy, easy going girl.
Molly has charmed all humans she’s met and politely greets all canine and feline friends. She has been only briefly exposed to children and has very little reaction to them. Perhaps due to her ear infection, Molly appears to be mostly deaf but she readily responds to visual cues.
Due to her age, Molly would do well in a little quieter home but one that is willing to continue to exercise her and give her the love and affection she so richly deserves. Molly would like living with another dog or cat. Does this sweetie sound like your kind of girl?
