Original: Molly was given up by her family due to the fact that she did not fit their lifestyle. After a week in a temporary home, she came into rescue. She is a very pretty tri-colored girl with a docked tail. Molly is almost two years old and is physically in great shape. She weighs in at a chart-topping 35 pounds which is actually a perfect weight for her frame. Her eyes and ears are very clean and clear, and she has given her foster dad no problems when cleaning them.
In her foster home Molly is living with another Springer foster and 3 resident dogs and does very well with them all. She is a bit shy at first and will act bigger than her size until she gets to know new dogs, but after that, the gloves are off! She loves to run and be chased around the yard and can be heard barking with pleasure as she plays. The same can be said with human strangers she will bark for the first few minutes and then she is your best friend.
Molly is crate trained and goes in when a treat is offered as incentive. She is crated during the day up to 5 hours at a time, however, she is given free run of the house during the night. Her foster dad is not sure that a crate is needed during the day, but in an effort to keep things fair with the other Springers, she settles in a crate during the day as they do.
Once Molly warms up, she is friendly to everyone she meets and is good with children she has met down to 5 years. She has met some cats at a neighbor’s house, and she was fine with them. Molly has no aggression issues and can be trusted around her food bowl and takes her treats gently.
Molly loves car rides and does love to be your constant companion. She knows all her basic commands and responds very well to correction. She can be found every morning hanging out on the pillow on the bed and, when you call her name, she gets so excited she rolls to her back for belly pets. It is very cute to see and shows just how sweet she can be.
This little sweetheart will make an incredible companion and, if you are looking for a perfect lap dog, then Molly is your girl!!!
