Update 08/22/2014: “Molly still likes toys and FOOD! She can catch a tossed puppy cookie as if she was 2 years old!”
Molly came back to MAESSR when some major changes were going to cause a lot of upheaval in her family’s lives for at least the next year. Her folks felt she deserved a more settled last few years than they were going to be able to provide and brought her back to her original foster home so she would feel more comfortable. Molly had stayed with the foster family before when her adoptive family traveled.
This sweet senior has a ton of spirit and sweetness for an older girl. She came back into her foster home and demanded her spot back sleeping on her foster mom’s feet. If you are going to adopt her, plan on having warm feet! Molly still likes toys and FOOD! She can catch a tossed puppy cookie as if she was 2 years old! And, she still counter-surfs. She has the same issue her foster mom does……….the mind is young but the body is not.
With her return Molly went to the vet for a checkup. She has a few sebaceous cysts and adenomas and some arthritis in her hips and rear legs, but her blood work looked great. Molly is on a supplement for the joints and still manages to jump on the bed.
MAESSR’s lovely lady is great at riding in the car and did well with the vet and groomer. She has been wonderful with the multitude of other dogs in her foster home, both male and female; she has settled down in her later years!
This is one very happy girl! In her mind, Molly’s still a pup and has much to offer a new family. Can you give her the comfort and love she needs for her coming years? Cooler weather is in the forecast, and she’ll be a wonderful foot warmer for some lucky family.
Original: “She also feels that Molly would be great as an only dog or with a male canine companion.“
Molly is a very sweet girl who loves people, will counter surf and trash can pick if given a chance, pulls a little on the leash when walked, likes to sleep in the bed with her human family, and just wants to be a part of everything. She likes toys, both rubber squeaky ones and the softies too. Molly is crate trained, but it is really not necessary. She is reliably housetrained and has earned run of the house.
Ever since she was a puppy, Molly had lived with her relinquishing family. She came into rescue because of repeated altercations with her canine sisters in the home. Molly was always the instigator. Her family had tried numerous solutions, but nothing worked long term. It was a very difficult decision, but they felt it best to find Molly another home and allow the rest of the family to live in peace.
In her foster home, Molly currently lives with 10 other dogs. She has done extremely well with all of them. Molly’s foster mom recommends that Molly not live with other female dogs in the future due to her history. She also feels that Molly would be great as an only dog or with a male canine companion.
Molly is a very beautiful bench bred springer who has been wonderful with the humans in her life. She is going to make a wonderful addition to some lucky family………..is it you?
