Molly is a beautiful liver and white, 2 1/2 yr. old female who is being relinquished by her family. She is a very lovable dog. Right now Molly spends too much time alone. She has lost some of her spark because of this. It is like no one has found the key to her heart. She does not play with a ball or toys. She does get to jog a couple times a week with her owner. She runs right by his side off leash. Right now she spends too much time in the basement in her crate. She has not been tested to have full access to the house. The new family should be willing to do this. She NEEDS to be with her family. Molly loves to be petted and craves attention. She has some separation anxiety, due to her being alone so much. Poor girl needs a family that will included her in their lives.
Molly has never lived with cats, dogs, or children. She does get along with other dogs in the park. Molly can be in the back yard and not run away. It is not fenced. She will stay close to her family.
Molly was evaluated by a MAESSR volunteer. She has no aggression at all. She is a little mouthy like a puppy. She will jump when meeting new people. Molly is good at the groomers and vets. Molly was tested and has no food aggression.
Molly, according to the owners may have some hearing loss. When tested by the volunteer with a cow bell, Molly did not respond. When the volunteer called her name in a demanding voice, she ripped around and looked at her. The owners vet says there is nothing wrong with her ears. It is felt that Molly should be kept on leash or lead line for her safety. She does not recall at all. She does down, sit, stay with hand signals. She maybe able to pick up certain sounds.
Molly does not like to be startled. She will bark then start to wiggle. She has never bitten and was has only growled at the furnace man. Molly should not be placed with children because of this.
Obedience school would help this girl greatly. If her hearing is impaired she can be taught with hand signals. This would also help her to bond to her new family.
This is a sad little girl who needs to find a forever family. She needs to give love and she will return it 10 fold. Please put the spark back in Molly’s eyes.
