Original: After passing through several homes over recent months in northwestern West Virginia Molly, and her sister Polly, arrived at their MAESSR foster homes. The last lady who took them in couldn’t keep them but was committed to seeing that these sweethearts would have forever homes. Both are healthy and well-fed gals. Grooming and flea preventative were their biggest immediate needs.
Molly is the most pleasant and easiest dog to live with that her foster family has met. She has absolutely the sweetest face and the quickest tail around. She has no bad habits, unless one would fault her for sneaking up on the couch with the most expensive pillows for a nap. She doesn’t bark, jump up on people, or counter surf. Her weak attempt at begging amounts to her sweet face staring at you the whole time you eat. She is lovely on a walk, with no pulling, and ignores the bad-mannered neighborhood dogs with a little encouragement.
Crating has not been necessary for Molly in her foster home. She is left in the kitchen with the resident Springer whenever her family is away and is a perfect lady. She sleeps through the night beside the bed. Molly is a total lovebug and SO eager to please and learn. She already knows “sit” and is learning “shake.” She is learning “outside” too and has done wonderfully with that in a short time.
Molly lives with two children who are 5 and 7 years old and loves them both. She has a healthy interest in the resident Springer who is more laid back than herself. She can be a bit bossy with him and occasionally needs a little reminder from her foster mom to take it a bit easy on him. Molly likes tennis balls and loves chewies, but right now, snow is her main toy. She loves to go outside and romp in the white, fluffy stuff. It makes coming in for a nap all the more enjoyable.
Molly is really ready for a family who will make a forever commitment to her. She’d love to have someone on the couch beside her to love, to cuddle, and to nap with after a leisurely walk to the park or around the block. If you have similar interests, she’d love to meet you.
