Sweet little Mollee came from a Maryland breeder who was not able to sell all of his pups. Knowing he wanted the dogs he bred to go to good homes, Mollee’s owner contacted MAESSR knowing we could find her the ideal forever home.
Mollee has adjusted well to her foster home. Initially, she spent lot of time exploring her new backyard with the resident and MAESSR foster Springer housemates. She is friendly with all the other dogs in her foster home and she is especially willing to wrestle and play with the other young foster dog John. Not used to being around strangers, she is a bit shy when she sees new people but she warms up very quickly. A tasty treat makes being friends even easier!
Totally housebroken, Mollee has not had one accident since she came into foster care. She has been crated in the past, too, but her foster dad allows her to have free run of the house for up to six hours at a time when he is out. She has shown herself to be totally responsible.
This super sweet girl loves to curl up at night with her people and just loves to be touching someone. Although she started out sleeping underneath the bed, Mollee now knows that sleeping on the bed is better than under! She does not resource guard her food or toys; however, she is fed alone since she tries to eat all the other dogs’ food.
Mollee rides well in the car and she enjoys going for walks. Her leash manners need improvement, though, as she does pull on the leash. At this point, Mollee knows limited commands, but since she is so smart and motivated by treats, getting her to learn new ones should be easy. At the vet’s office, Mollee did very well and the vet was impressed with what a good and smart girl she was.
Her foster dad thinks Mollee would do best in a forever home with children aged ten or above. Her forever family must help Mollee get past her initial shyness with new people and places. For the investment of time and love, her adopting family will have a devoted friend!
