Mojo was surrendered to a local all-breed rescue in eastern Pennsylvania by his owners. The family said they didn’t have time to exercise Mojo and that he was becoming anxious. After getting acquainted with Mojo, the rescue group reached out to MAESSR for help. Their experience with Mojo was that he was extremely friendly and loving with people and children. He was indifferent to other dogs in that he wasn’t a big player with them. It seemed he was lacking social skills when interacting with dogs he met as well. He was a barker when anxious. The rescue contact who worked with MAESSR’s intake coordinator felt Mojo would do best if he could get into a foster home where he would have consistent exercise and socialization. As soon as a foster home became available, Mojo became a MAESSR boy!
Once in his foster home, short-term health issues were quickly spotted. He is being treated for an ear infection. Treatment for a UTI is complete. This should give Mojo a jump start toward feeling better. His family could also see that he was a very anxious boy, so he was started on an inexpensive medication to help with this.
Mojo arrived with most of the important basics in place…..he’s crate trained, housetrained, LOVES to ride in the car and is very sweet. Ample exercise, the companionship of well-socialized dogs, and very savvy foster folks should put him on the path to brighter days. His family thinks he will be a wonderful boy when his anxiety is under control. Check back to keep up with his progress……….
