MoJo was purchased from a pet store and lived with his family until a new baby and time constraints led to their relinquishing him to MAESSR. He is a handsome boy who is full of happy, puppy energy. He weighs 35 pounds and has a good deal of filling out to do. As can happen with youngsters, MoJo had a fall as a puppy from a deck. Fortunately, nothing was broken. The vet checked his hips and found he has full range of motion in both sides.
This fellow is all legs and loves to play with toys and snuggle with people. He adores meeting new people, and his foster mom is working on mellowing his greeting, since not everyone appreciates his jumping up to lick a face. He is learning that people will pay more attention to him when all four paws are on the floor! MoJo sits nicely with kids and licks their faces to death. He will roll over into their laps and throw his paws up in the air. What a sight!
When it comes to toys, MoJo loves them all and carries one around at all times. He even tries to carry them all at once. He is learning that other dogs do not like their toys taken out of their mouths, but has shown no aggression with the other dogs with this lesson. His foster mom is working to increase his socialization. He is frightened by most new things but will investigate slowly with loving encouragement. He is smart and eager to learn. He goes in his crate without issue but takes time to settle down.
MoJo has learned the routine in his foster home. He is housetrained, learning not to counter surf, and his foster mom is working hard to teach him leash manners. He was taught by his owners to stop eating half way through his meal and to sit and stay. This helps him digest his food since he eats way too quickly!
Like all young springers, MoJo needs a lot of exercise. He would love to have a forever home with a fenced yard to run around in as fast as he can and another friendly dog to play with. He needs a family that can give him all the attention and love he deserves. Also, on his wish list are obedience classes with his adopting family to complete what is only beginning in his foster home. Is your family ready to fall under the spell of MoJo?
