Original: Misty is very affectionate and enjoys being around people. She rides well in a car. She is crate trained and leash trained. She knows a few basic commands including “come” and “stay”. She does counter surf but does not beg for food. Does this sound like a typical young Springer? Indeed, Miss Misty is just that, but she had proved to be a little “too” much for her original family in central West Virginia. The family was growing and did not have the time to commit to the needs of a very active dog.
In her foster home there is another ESS for Misty to play with and children who are old enough to fall in love with her immediately. Misty likes to run, and gets to do a lot of that, but always stays within sight of her foster parents. She does not chew but does like to take naps on the sofa. With enough daily exercise, Misty can be quite a couch potato, especially when a family member is lounging with her. At night she sleeps in her own bed in one of the family’s bedrooms.
Her foster family has found that Misty is an all-around wonderful dog. She listens well, loves affection, and can be quite a ham at times. She’s ready for life with an active family and would enjoy having another dog in the family to keep things lively. An obedience class with her new family could round out her basic skills and be a great way to start getting acquainted. She’s a very pretty gal and will be easy for her forever family to fall in love with immediately.
