This little ball of fire came from a shelter in West Virginia where she had been found as a stray. It was Miss Lady’s lucky day when she became a MAESSR girl! West Virginia’s loss is definitely MAESSR’s gain.
With her super sweet, affectionate personality, it is easy to fall in love with Miss Lady. A fast learner and eager to please, her foster parents are happy to say she is crate trained now and so far has been reliably housetrained. While her foster parents are out of the house, Lady stays in her crate, playing contentedly with toys and sleeping. Learning other household manners is a work in progress. Miss Lady will counter-surf, but her small size does not allow her to get to the really good stuff! Learning to keep four on the floor is tough work for a curious puppy.
Miss Lady loves to play! In fact, she will play with toys non-stop. Such energy! She will play fetch and is learning to bring the ball back to you so the game can keep going. Besides loving to play, Miss Lady also likes to chew. Since she is just a puppy, she needs to be watched to ensure there is no inappropriate chewing. She has done fairly well with that, but her new family will have to be willing to keep an eye on her.
Please note that MAESSR only places puppies in homes that are committed to training and bonding with the pup in obedience classes. Puppies require a lot of care, attention, and patience, and they do chew on things! The decision to get a puppy and raise it to be a healthy, happy, and well-adjusted dog is a serious commitment. To reinforce this commitment, MAESSR requires all adopters of dogs one year old and younger to enroll their puppy in an obedience class within 60 days of adoption. These obedience lessons will help Miss Lady learn to be a well-behaved Springer girl who will live up to her name.
