Update 11/10/03:
Minnie has been adopted!
Original:
Minnie became homeless because the human daughter in the family did not want her anymore. This sweet girl is now happily enjoying life in a MAESSR foster home. They report that she is a delightful dog, who is very petite, has a full tail and could stand to lose a few pounds. Her foster family will be working with her to make sure gets enough exercise and not too much food! She is housetrained, crate-trained, knows sit, and comes when she’s called. While she gets along with other dogs, she does not play with them. Maybe this will change in her foster home because the poor girl probably did not get a lot of playtime with other dogs in her life. She seems to like her own space and will avoid close contact with dogs. Minnie does bark if she is watching someone go by the house, when she thinks she hears something and when other dogs bark. She will also run up and down the fence with the neighbors dog. She loves to be outside and chase squirrels, but she is warm and also loves to be petted by her people. She does have the bad habit of drinking out of the toilet rather than the dish. That aside, her human foster sister thinks she is great and lets her sleep with her in her bed.
Minnie still needs a vet check up so we we will update her page after her visit.
