A Good Samaritan stepped in to rescue two Springers from a situation of neglect where the previous owner could not care for the dogs. MAESSR was contacted to help place these two sweet pups.

Meeka and her companion, Zeus, both came from a breeder in Pennsylvania and both have great dispositions. Meeka is up to date on all vaccines. She was reported to have spay incontinence. However, her foster mom has been administering her medication on schedule and is letting her out in 5-hour intervals. There has been no evidence of leakage. Like many Springers of a certain age, Meeka has a few fatty lumps, but she is in good health.

Reportedly Meeka is very good with children. She does love her people and will jump up in greeting, so very small children could be knocked over. She is good with other dogs and cats. There is no known bite history or aggression. Since she LOVES people, Meeka would be happiest sitting on the couch being petted by her special person.

Meeka has been allowed the roam of the main living area of her foster family’s home and has been fine. She does not chew, dig, or destroy any household items. Aside from trying to jump on visitors, she is very good with people entering the home.

Meeka is familiar with the basic commands of “sit,” “down,” “stay,” and “no.” Training needs review and reinforcement. Her recall is good but not 100% reliable. Meeka does love a long walk but tends to pull on leash.

Recently groomed and clipped close, Meeka was a very good girl during the entire process. She rides in the car very well, curling up in the front passenger seat.

Meeka is a gregarious, loving, gentle-soul Springer who adores attention. In return, she will give you tons of affection. This sweetie would fit in with most households. How about yours?
