Original: “Marvin loves to snuggle; he loves popcorn; he loves to run through and play in the snow; but, his favorite activity is chasing bubbles–MARVIN LOVES BUBBLES.”
Marvin was part of a military family. When they were stationed in Texas, they lived off post and Marvin had a fenced yard for playtime. Then his family was transferred and are now living on post where they no longer have a fenced yard, Marvin was getting the majority of his exercise from long leash walks, but there were people everywhere and other dogs on leash walking the same paths. Marvin started to become very leash reactive. His New York family tried many techniques to correct this behavior, but were not successful. They decided to find Marvin another home where he could have a fenced yard and relax.
Marvin is a wonderful dog in so many ways. He is healthy, active, and agile. He got along well with the family cat and kids. He had a reputation at the dog park as “the bubble dog” because his favorite thing in the world is to chase and pop bubbles. He was well liked in the dog park and never had issues with another dog while off leash in the park.
He is not territorial over his food. He willingly shares his meals with the cat and will obediently sit and wait to eat his meal until he is released.
Marvin is crate trained and housetrained. He will counter-surf if given the opportunity. Outside, this guy loves to hike and walks fairly well on a leash unless he sees one of those pesky rodents with the long, furry tail. He loves to chase squirrels and birds and will pull on leash to get to them.
Marvin loves to snuggle; he loves popcorn; he loves to run through and play in the snow; but, his favorite activity is chasing bubbles–MARVIN LOVES BUBBLES. He is good in the car, maybe a little hesitant to climb in, but fine once his ride starts.
Marvin has been a much loved dog and needs a family who will continue to shower him with affection. He is truly a Velcro dog and loves to be physically touching someone. With a fenced yard and calm place to walk/hike, this fellow will be a happy camper and fit with most families.
