Little Miss Marley came to MAESSR from the land of unwanted toys. She was an unwanted Christmas gift. The giver couldn’t return the gift so he tied up little Miss Marley at an abandoned farm while he tried to figure out what to do. He brought food occasionally but not often enough. Finally, a friend of the family stepped in and fostered the dog briefly while searching for an appropriate rescue league. And this is how this sweet young girl has come to be handled by MAESSR.
Marley is completely potty-trained, does not chew inappropriate items and loves her crate. How anyone could not want this gal is beyond comprehension. Unfortunately, Marley is quite thin weighing in at less than 20 pounds on her six-month-old frame. This is due to her erratic feedings from her prior “owner.” However, she has a voracious appetite, and she should be fattened up in no time. This sweet puppy is happiest when she is playing fetch with her tennis balls. She will carry a ball around the house at all times just to prove that she is ready to play anywhere, any time. But don’t let that fool you, she will snuggle up for some lovin’ anytime, too.
She was just spayed this week so we haven’t yet been to the dog park to check out the other dogs and the neighborhood children so we can’t yet report on how she does with the majority of other dogs and children. However, she has become fast friends with the resident Springer and has also given and received love from the half a dozen people who have stopped by to marvel at the newest foster pup in town. In fact, she sat beautifully for pictures today.
This gal deserves only the best. Is that you?
Update:
Marley found the best. She is now with a wonderful family!
