After living together happily with their Virginia owner for over a decade, seniors Maggie 34 and Molly 45 became MAESSR girls after their owner passed away. Always having been well loved and well cared for, they are a lovely pair of seniors. They have been together since they were puppies and they get along very well. Although they like each other, they don’t necessarily have to be placed together.
Maggie and Molly LOVE children. When friends of their foster family bring over their 3 and 8 year old children, these Springer girls are in heaven. They are positive that the children came to see them! They had always been around the grandchildren of their previous owner and they would love to have some children in their forever homes.
Getting along well with other dogs but still assertive, Maggie will tell other dogs if they get too far into her space, but she is not nasty about it. If the dog traffic in her foster home gets too much for her, Maggie just goes into her open crate to lie down and chill out for a while—a real advantage of being crate trained! At night she much prefers to sleep on the recliner if it is available. Maggie is totally housetrained and has wonderful house manners. She also rides well in the car and actually loves to travel.
Maggie has arthritis which is being treated with a glucosamine supplement and a NSAID. The vet found that her spine has some compression in a couple of spots; however, she is now much more comfortable walking around now that she is getting supplements. One thing her foster mom says is that Maggie does not let her ailments slow her down. She is bound and determined she is going to do whatever she wants and does!
This is one SWEET girl. Discover the joy of adopting a seasoned Springer!
