Original: “Little Bit still has some work to do on her socialization, but she should be ready for a forever home soon.“
Little Bit and her five weaned puppies came to MAESSR when their Tennessee owner started having financial issues. He loved his Springers, but knew MAESSR would find them homes where they would be loved and receive good care.
After feeding five puppies to weaning age, Little Bit was very underweight when she got to her MAESSR foster home. Her foster mom started feeding her extra and she is now at a perfect weight.
Little Bit is crate trained and housetrained. She walks well on the leash and rides well in the car. She is extremely sweet! She sleeps on a dog bed beside her foster parents’ bed.
At first, Little Bit was afraid of everything in her new environment; however, since being in foster care for two months, she has discovered that the world is a very fun place. Her transformation has been wonderful to watch! Little Bit still has some work to do on her socialization, but she should be ready for a forever home soon.
When she came to MAESSR, she had a bad urinary tract infection but since then it was treated and has resolved. Now that she has recovered from the puppies, Little Bit loves to run and play with the other dogs in her foster home.
At her first visit to the vet, Little Bit was terrified. She did not like it when they tried to hold her to do the checkup. She did not react in an aggressive way– just scared. At her latest vet visit, they all remarked on how far she had come.
Little Bit’s New Year wish is to have her very own family. Can you make this wish come true?
