Linus has been adopted!
Original:
Linus came to us through a shelter in Wayne County, PA. He was picked up as a stray but was in excellent condition. It is believed that he was lost and couldn’t find his way back. Linus is a show type Springer with a heavy silky coat, very soft, and he loves to be bathed and brushed. Linus weighs 43 lbs. and is not a large Springer. He has large feet and heavy front legs.
Linus is a very sweet, gentle boy. He lives with a spoiled princess but has accepted his role. He is very well-behaved in the house. He and his foster sister are alone for 8 hours. He gently accepts treats from you and shares a bowl of ice cream with his foster sister. We were told he is bone-aggressive, we gave him and our other dog rawhide bones and he didn’t even chew it, but his sister did! Linus is very good with kids, cats, strangers and other dogs. He is really laid back and doesn’t seem to get too excited by them. When he does get excited he barks and goes in a circles! You can take him for a walk, and he doesn’t pull on the leash. He knows the sit command and will offer you a paw for treats and for attention. Not a velcro dog, Linus will lay by you and follow you around. At first, he wanted to get on the bed and furniture but when told no will stay off. He does have his own bed beside ours; he sleeps very soundly, and you have to wake him up in the morning! He likes to call the pack together at times by raising his head and howling at the moon so to speak! Car rides are not his strong suit; he wines and barks in your ear unless you sit with him. While staying in the kitchen for 8 hours, he has never gotten in the garbage. Not sure about counter surfing as we have learned not to put things within “dog reach”! Linus is a very sweet dog and will make you a great companion. All he needs is a forever home to make your life and his complete.
Linus has Corneal Dystrophy, it is a cholesterol film that covers the eyes. The vet says it in not impairing his vision.
