When her Maryland owner ran into financial difficulties, he relinquished Lindaloo to MAESSR so that we could help find her a loving forever home. Coming into foster care, this little Springer/cocker mix initially was nervous about her new surroundings but she has quickly warmed up. She even got to attend the MAESSR picnic at Bull Run Park and she had a great time!
Lindaloo has been a wonderful house guest with her foster family! She is a very easy keeper who delights in playing with the six resident canines. This small girl is very athletic and loves to play with her toys and tennis balls in the backyard. Although she is a nervous rider, she is getting better each time she goes for a drive. At this point, Lindaloo does not know any commands but this will come in time. MAESSR requirements will have her forever parents take her for obedience training since she is less than a year old. Right now, she also needs to be reminded not to jump when excited.
Almost housetrained, Linda has submissively peed a few times in the house, but her foster family expects this to end once she is older and more comfortable with her surroundings. Linda has been crated a few times but she does not spend much time in there. When her foster family is away from the house, Linda is given free run of the house with the resident canines and there have been no problems. If she had her way, Linda would like to sleep with her human companions but the floor is encouraged.
Linda behaved wonderfully at the vet and charmed everyone she met. A bit on the light side at 12 pounds, Linda will be a small girl in adulthood. She loves to eat and is very good around her food bowl, even with the other dogs around. She has no qualms about people touching her food bowl either.
Lindaloo thinks it would be so easy to love you! Need some puppy breath and kisses?
