Lily is an eleven-month-old, black and white, spayed springer looking for a new home. She currently resides in West Lawn, PA with four young boys and another not-so-active ESS. She is looking for a new home because the family does not have the time that Lily deserves. Lily was bought in a pet store after being there until she was five months old. The price kept dropping and her mom could not stand seeing her in the store crate any longer.
Lily is full of energy and is looking for someone to give her a lot of attention. She is a little mouthy and will sometimes jump on the kids for attention. She is very well-tempered around other dogs. She sleeps in her crate at night, but will start to whine and bark in the morning.
Lily will chase cats, but has never caught one. It is unknown what she would do.
Lily likes teddy bears, so watch your stuffed animals! She will pick up a sock or towel, but does not chew them up. This is her way of trying to get attention. She has never had the opportunity to play with a tennis ball. She loves to bite at the water coming out of a hose. Lily tries to catch snow balls when tossed to her.
Lily has not been in a car for an extended amount of time. She seemed scared when she went to the vet and rode home from the pet store. A crate will be needed to transport her. Lily will try to beg for food, but will leave the kitchen when asked to do so.
Lily is looking for a family that will spend the time and energy needed to train her and play with her daily. Is Lily the girl for you?
Update:
Lucky Lily found the perfect family to give her everything she needs!
Update from Adoptive Family 03/18/03:
Lily is doing well with her new family. The family decided to change Lily’s name to Allie (similar sound) for her sake and sanity for the family’s sake as their two-year-old daughter is named Lilly, and she spent the first 2 days coming to everyone who called the dog. Someday it will make a funny story, and they are sure when she gets older her other siblings won’t let her forget it!
