Sadly, Lady has lived with one family since she was a puppy, but due to a change in their housing and financial considerations, that family has had to give her up. While a part of that family, Lady lived with an infant who is now a toddler and did well. She also lived with a bird and a cat without issue. As a “young” senior she enjoys very good health. She does need to be spayed. At the same time, she will receive a minor but important additional service – a dental cleaning.
Lady is a very beautiful, bench bred springer with all the attributes of a mature lady. This doesn’t mean she lacks ESS energy, though. It just means she has wonderful house manners that come with experience. She is impeccably housebroken, walks well on a leash, doesn’t jump up on people, and is fairly quiet in the house. When left alone, she will bark and howl but has never been destructive. She just likes to be with her people and wants everyone to know it. She rides well in the car.
She hasn’t met any dogs in her foster home, but Lady’s family reported that she doesn’t like large, male dogs. When younger, she was attacked by a male springer, so her wariness is easy to understand. Fortunately, it seems she doesn’t mind smaller dogs unless they are overly pressing for her attention. Lady is shy with strangers but warms up quickly. While at the vet, she showed no resentment toward him, even when having some mats clipped from her long, silky ears. Her original family reported that while Lady would ignore toys, she enjoyed playing with the people around her.
In the short time she has been in her new home, Lady has impressed her foster family as being perfectly sweet and lovable. With her mature and gentle nature, she is a wonderful companion, making it easy to let her into your home and heart. She will be ready for her “new beginning” soon. Will you be ready for her?
