Lady is AKC registered, spayed, and was two years old on July 8th. Lady knows how to tell time because she knows when it is 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM because that is when she eats! She also knows when it is 9:00 PM because that is her bedtime and she gets her biscuits and goes in her crate to go to bed. Lady is crate trained, loves to be outside to run, loves to take walks, and travels very well in our van. Lady is good with small children and she loves to get plenty of attention given to her. She loves to be petted and if allowed likes to be on your lap.
Lady has to make up to you first. Once she gets to know you she is fine. She can be a bit shy sometimes. Lady is a great pet who needs a great and loving family. She spends the whole day and night in the crate since the wife had to take a full time job recently. Her family now lives in a new neighborhood that limits dogs to 20 pounds or less. Lady rides well in the car as it accompanies them on the weekends to their summer home in Delaware.
Recently one of our volunteers babysat Lady for a few days. Here is what she said:
Lady is the sweetest little girl. She is very hyper but there is not a mean bone in her little body. She is a little shy at coming up to you at first but by the morning she was laying on me, kissing me, etc. She is tiny (around 40 lbs) liver and white and cute as a button. I will try and get some pictures for you. She was very nervous, too. My house is anything but calm with three dogs but she gets along with everyone great. When I say hyper, I mean that she seems nervous and has difficulty relaxing- always moving. I think she is a nervous girl… She chews at her left back paw pretty frequently and she is on antibiotics and benadryl. She has some allergies and that is why she takes benadryl and the antibiotics are for her foot. They have taken her to the vet three times about it- it seems to be because of her allergies probably. It might be a nervous thing too but it does seem to bother her little bit. She went into her crate promptly at 9 PM and stayed in there until 6 this morning. I fed her with the food they gave me but she decided she liked Macey’s better so they ended up switching food-just like kids…. Anyway, she is in the crate now and my husband will go home at noon and let her out. She is so used to being on a leash that she doesn’t know quite what to do in the fenced in area. She really is a nice girl…. The family truly has taken very good care of her and they look after her.
Lady went to her new home over the Thanksgiving weekend.
