Original: “Very sweet and affectionate, she loves to be really close to her people in her foster home.”
Lady became a MAESSR girl when her Virginia family was moving and realized that they had no time to care for their dogs.
As a young pup, Lady lived inside of the house with another Springer puppy; however, the owners moved the dogs outside at some point. They had tie outs and dog houses in the yard with no fence but when loose, they mostly stayed in the yard.
Lady lived with three young children in her former family and she got along famously with them letting the baby crawl all over her.
Very sweet and affectionate, she loves to be really close to her people in her foster home. In her excitement to see people, she will jump up on them.
Although not 100% housetrained yet, Lady is learning quickly. Her new family will have to be aware to get her out on a regular basis. A good girl outside and inside of the house, she does not dig in the yard and just chews on her toys. Lady loves to play ball, too! This pretty tri knows the commands “sit,” “lie down,” and “stay” and she responds to “come” when called. She also likes to ride in the car and is a good passenger.
Grooming was a totally new experience for Lady. She was terrified of the clippers when her foster mom was going to groom her so they settled on scissors to cut out the mats. Her foster mom reports that Lady was good during her appointment with the vet.
If you are looking for a good family dog who is affectionate, playful, and kid friendly, ask about Lady! Make sure that you have a good throwing arm since she would love playing ball with you!
