Kolbi was one of the victims of Hurricane Katrina. He was brought to the Richmond area by one of the local vet clinics whose staff had gone to Mississippi to help with the flood victims. The vet’s office contacted MAESSR and asked for assistance in finding him a forever home.
Kolbi is so delighted to be living in a home again that he just quivers all over. He is perfectly housetrained and crate trained. He does not counter surf or trash pick. He will pull a little on his leash when he is being walked, perhaps because he is excited about checking out his new surroundings. He has not attempted to get on the furniture and has gentlemanly manners all around.
Kolbi’s favorite activity is to sit and look at his foster mom adoringly while she loves on him. He’s very good at this and must have been treated kindly in the past. He is a low-energy boy when he is indoors, but when he goes outside, he knows it’s time to play and he will spring into any opportunity. He especially loves to chase tennis balls and romp with his foster siblings.
Kolbi’s a steady and adaptable dog and one of many who were blessed with rescue after the storm upended their lives. He’ll soon be ready to meet his forever family. Are you the beginning of Kolbi’s new life?
