Kobe has been a wonderful house guest with his foster family! She is an easy keeper who delights in playing with the six resident canines. This small girl is very athletic and loves to play with her toys and tennis balls in the backyard. She LOVES the water and would spend all day in the baby pool if she could.
In her original home, Kobe was visited by three grandchildren and while she loved them all, she was a bit much for the young ones under four. Her family knew she needed more exercise as well and felt she would do best in another home.
In the car, Kobe is a nervous rider but she’s getting better each time she goes for a drive. She does know the commands “sit” and “come,” but will need to expand her repertoire. She also needs to be reminded not to jump when excited. Since she is under one year, Kobe’s forever family will be required by MAESSR policy to take her to at least one set of obedience classes. This will help make Kobe a good, obedient family member and will further the bonding process with her new family.
Housetrained, Kobe has submissively peed a few times in the house, but her foster family expects this to end once she is older and more comfortable with her surroundings. Kobe was crate trained in her original home but has not been in a crate in her foster home. When her foster family is away from the house, Kobe is given free run of the house with the resident canines and there have been no problems. If she had her way, Kobe would like to sleep with her human companions but the floor is encouraged.
Kobe behaved wonderfully at the vet and charmed everyone she met. A bit on the light side at 23 pounds, Kobe will be a small girl in adulthood. She loves to eat and is very good around her food bowl, even with the other dogs around. She has no qualms about people touching his food bowl either.
Kobe would enjoy a forever home with other dogs and children as she is ready for play and fun! She’ll bring a lifetime of joy and companionship to everyone around her!
