Klancy is another of the Montgomery Nine. He is one of the more outgoing boys. He responded well to encouragement and walked on a leash reasonably well. But, like all of the boys, he will need lots of love and socialization.
Klancy is adjusting well. He is very curious and playful. He walks pretty well on a leash but likes to walk between my legs which makes it a little slow going. He let us clean his ears and loves pats on the head and belly rubs. He has been chasing Maggie (my 3-year-old Springer) all over the yard. When she chases back he is not sure what to do and he just lays down. His tail has not stopped wagging since we picked him up first thing this morning.
Klancy is just an overall great dog. He comes when you call him, loves dogs and people, is gentle with kids (even our very little toddler neighbors) and is learning to sit. No potty training accidents at all so far. He does like alot of attention – he sits right next to me, or practically on top of Maggie. His stiches are out and he looks great – a wagging tail and nice thick coat. Tomorrow he is getting a bath!
Update:
When Klancy’s new family met him, it was love at first sight. They scooped him up and took him home!
