Original: KiKi came to MAESSR from a breeder/puppy mill in Missouri. She is a very petite little girl weighing only 27 pounds. Don’t let her diminutive size fool you because KiKi will hang right in there with the resident Springers who are younger and weigh almost twice what she does. She is adapting to home life very nicely and is learning what stuffed toys are. The squeaker still baffles her, though. She is learning to play outside with the help of the resident dogs.
KiKi loves human attention too and has learned to sit for her treats and to sit before coming into the house. She is now proficient with steps and even manages to get over a tall baby gate! KiKi will go into a crate with the aid of a few treats, but she is much happier curled up on a soft dog bed with one of the resident Springers. At night, and when her foster parents are gone, KiKi is crated. Her foster parents are still working on her housebreaking and use praise and/or treats for a job well done. She has had a few baths and does fine. KiKi also rides well in a car.
