Original: “Very sweet and cuddly, Kerry enjoys being with his foster parents who shower him with attention.”
When Kerry’s owner died, his wife could not handle the four dogs in their Virginia household, so she put Kerry in the shelter. Shelter staff immediately contacted MAESSR for assistance and Kerry was in his foster home in less than a day!
Very sweet and cuddly, Kerry enjoys being with his foster parents who shower him with attention. Since he had been part of a pack of four in his previous home, Kerry has had no problems adjusting to the multiple foster and resident dogs in his foster home and does well with them.
This good senior is housetrained and reliable. He is used to getting up on furniture and happily this is allowed in his foster home. Kerry also likes to sleep in bed with you! On walks, he pulls on the leash at the beginning of his outing but quickly settles down. Kerry is always ready for a ride in the car and is a very good passenger.
When Kerry was being neutered, the vet checked his mouth where a mass was found around one tooth. It was removed and sent out to the pathologist to see what it was. The histopath reported that “the mass was a benign but incompletely excised odontogenic fibroma, a growth stemming from the periodontal ligament so impossible to completely excise without removing the K9 and several adjacent teeth. Fortunately, they tend to be relatively slow to regrow.” The vet felt like Kerry would be fine to adopt out and that the mouth should not be an issue for a long time if ever.
Consider bringing this lovely senior into your family. You will never regret it! Kerry is full of love and life. Make him your own boy!
