Update 05/16/2014: “Kelly loves to be in the large back yard and just wander around for hours or take a nap in the sun.”
This lovely senior citizen continues to be a wonderful house guest. Every time she sees her foster mom going anywhere near the car, she wants to go for a ride. Kelly loves to be in the large back yard and just wander around for hours or take a nap in the sun. At night, she cuddles up on a comfy dog bed on her foster mom’s side of the bed and sleeps all night.
Kelly has not had one accident in the house, but did have a VERY severe urinary tract infection. She took meds for 3 weeks, and the UTI cleared. MAESSR’s cutie is feeling MUCH better and is more active. She lost 2 pounds in the 3 weeks between vet visits. You go, girl!
Kelly is one extremely good girl who does not act as if she has any issues. Do you have a yard, sun in the sky, comfortable dog bed in the house? Yours may be just the place for this sweet older lady and she may be just the Springer for you!!
Original: “Kelly is a sweet girl who just needs a family of her own, who she would be delighted to give kisses to as a way of showing her love.”
Kelly was relinquished to a Virginia shelter when her family could no longer take care of her. Now a MAESSR girl, she has a new beginning on life!
This very sweet older lady has no serious health issues and has plenty of spunk. Kelly is however a bit overweight, so she has been moved to another foster home where her diet can be regulated.
Although Kelly has not been in her new home long, her foster mom has found her to be delight and she has fit right in with the resident dogs as if she has always been there. Kelly is housetrained, has excellent house manners, and walks well on a leash.
So far, Kelly has shown no interest in toys, but lots of interest in wanting to be a lap dog and cuddle. She rides well in the car, but likes it better when she can see out of the window. Kelly is the typical Springer who wants to follow you around and settle down near people where she can keep an eye on things.
Even though she is overweight Kelly is quite active and likes to explore the big yard, even running around on her own. She and the older permanent foster in the home have already become friends, exploring together and sharing what interesting things each one finds.
Kelly would do well in a home with other dogs or even being the only dog. She is a sweet girl who just needs a family of her own, who she would be delighted to give kisses to as a way of showing her love.
