Poor JoJo was originally rescued about 5 years ago when the family that had him couldn’t stand his constant scratching. A concerned woman working with rescue took JoJo to to the vet for flea preventative because he was flea infested. Over the next two months she called back to check on him, and the owners said they didn’t want him anymore.
For four years JoJo thought he found a good home in Winchester, VA, but since bringing their baby home, JoJo didn’t get as much attention as he deserved. JoJo did not adjust well to having the baby in the home. As a result, he will not be placed in a home with children under the age of 10.
JoJo doesn’t have any behavior problems; he listens fairly well. He is housebroken and has the run of the house during the day. He sleeps on his bed on the floor at night, and I have been told he is crate-trained. He doesn’t have any medical conditions except a small cataract in one eye. He gets along well with older children and gets along good with my springer except he can get aggressive when food is involved. He definitely wants to be the alpha dog.
JoJo doesn’t show an interest in playing with toys or other dogs, but he loves to go out for walks. He is a great dog, loyal, affectionate, and easy going.
JoJo would make a great companion who would be happy to keep you company walking or lying at your feet.
Update 6/11/03:
JoJo found the perfect companion!
