Original: Johnny Be Good really fits this wonderful little guy. He is almost 4 months old and weighs in at a healthy 23 lbs. He was given to a shelter in Tennessee and then rescued by a nice lady whom he lived with until last week. Johnny is a very handsome boy with a full tail that he loves to wag when he is happy.
Johnny gets along very well with both his foster dad’s other dogs and thinks he is a big boy. He will play and run with them as much as possible. He will sit at the back door when he would like to go out, but it is not always to do his business. He has had a few accidents, but they are few and far between. Johnny just loves being outside and exploring the backyard. He has not tried to dig or get out of the fence. However, when the front or garage door open, he will try to escape and does not come back when he is called. He is a very smart dog who already knows some commands, like “sit” and “come,” but like the puppy he is, obeys when he wants.
He eats right next to the resident dogs and has no aggression issues. Johnny loves to be touched all over and almost whimpers with glee to be held. He loves to give licks and kisses, but, sometimes he will take an extra nip, just to let you know how much he likes you. He takes his treats gently. He does not counter-surf, but he is very interested in people food when his family sits down to eat. Johnny does not like to be left alone and will scratch the door and whine when his people go outside. Because of this and his young age, Johnny is crated when his foster family is gone. He is not crated at night, but he is let out for pitstops at least every four hours due to his age.
He has been exposed to children and is fine with them. Johnny likes to go in the car and just sits in the back and enjoys the ride. He walks well on a leash with no formal training. Any family that decides to adopt this little guy and take him through obedience classes will really have a rock star on their hands!
