Jesse qualifies for MAESSR’sHome for the Holiday program. For dogs in this program, adoption fees will be waived through the end of the year. Help a special Springer’s wish come true – welcoming one into your home may be the most heartwarming gift of this holiday season!!
Jesse continues to be the perfect houseguest in her foster home and a delight to have around. With the addition of a playful foster, Jesse is one happy girl. She now has a friend to run and play with on outings around the farm. She loves to be outside and will sit on the porch, just watching the birds and scenery once she is finished running around.
This girl is a bundle of joy, constantly on the move and always ready to play. If no one is available to play with her, Jesse will entertain herself. When she tires, she’ll take a toy and go to her bed.
Progress continues on getting this girl back into tiptop shape. She is now UTD on her vaccines and the UTI is improving, so she will be ready to start treatment for her other medical issues soon.
Jesse is one of those Springers that will keep a smile on your face from morning to night with her antics. This, combined with her sweet gentle nature, make her the perfect companion. Even Santa Clause couldn’t think of a better Christmas present to give you joy!
Original:
When Jesse’s owner passed away, she was taken in by a local Virginia family, who soon discovered that four dogs were too much for them. So, they contacted MAESSR to find Jesse a new forever home.
When she came to her foster home, Jesse was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection for which she is receiving medication. Her foster mom noted some minor urinary leaking which is being carefully monitored to ensure it is due to the UTI and is not urinary incontinence. While Jesse was at the vet, she tested strongly positive for Lyme disease and mildly positive for Ehrlichia. Even though she is not symptomatic, Jesse will be treated for these once her UTI has cleared completely.
Jesse gets along great with the dogs in her foster home and is not interested in the indoor cats. She will give the outdoor cats a run for their money, though. She knows the commands sit, paw, and down, walks well on a leash, and can be trusted off leash. Although Jesse is a great passenger in the car, she prefers to ride shot gun but will stay in the back seat when her foster mom insists.
With nice house manners, Jesse doesn’t get on the furniture and has not attempted to counter-surf or get into the trash. Completely housetrained and trustworthy, Jesse has complete run of the house, even when her foster mom must leave for a few hours to run errands. She sleeps peacefully through the night on her dog bed in the bedroom. During the day, she is her foster mom’s constant companion, helping with chores and following her everywhere she goes inside or out.
Jesse is a happy girl and lets you know with a little smile! Being nine does not mean a Springer is no longer wants to play! Jesse loves stuffed toys and will carry them around almost all the time. This little girl loves her treats as well and will get excited when she knows it is cookie time, putting her paws up on the counter to see what’s being passed out this time.
This sweet girl is a wonderful, happy companion who is always up for anything – walks, rides, or just keeping you company. How about bringing Jesse into your life?
