Original: “Like many other dogs his age, Jem is a gem!”
When his Virginia owner was faced with a move and could not take eight year old Jem with him, he made the difficult decision of a loving owner: to relinquish his Springer boy so that he can have a better life. So, Jem became a MAESSR boy.
Healthy and happy, Jem entered the foster home and settled right in without a problem. He is a sweet Velcro boy who gets along with everyone in his new family from people to resident dogs. Still playful, he enjoys a game of tug-of-war with the resident year old lab. Reportedly, he was good with children in his former home although he has not had the opportunity to meet any in his foster home, yet.
Like many other dogs his age, Jem is a gem! He is housetrained and has no bad habits. There is no counter-surfing, begging, barking, jumping up on people, or getting up on furniture for this boy. Although Jem slept in a crate in his previous home, he sleeps quietly through the night on a dog bed in his foster parents’ bedroom. Well-trained, Jem stays around the house without a fenced yard, comes when called, and walks nicely on a leash without tugging or chasing squirrels. Good boy, Jem!
Jem rides well in a car and is good at the groomer. In his previous home, the owner had him outside all day in a fenced yard when he was at work. Now, he is happy and comfortable inside the house when his foster parents are at work.
If you want a loving, obedient, low-maintenance boy to join your family, Jem is the Springer for you!
