Original: “Jeff thinks everyone–2-footed or 4-footed–is his friend.”
Jeff came to MAESSR when his North Carolina family could no longer care for him due to an impending move. This cute boy bounded into his foster home as if he had never been in any place better. This may be true as he did spend a large amount of his time in his previous home in a kennel.
Jeff thinks everyone–2-footed or 4-footed– is his friend. He can be a little shy at first, but quickly warms up and wants to cuddle. Jeff gets along very well with all of the other dogs in his foster home, and he reportedly lived with cats in his previous home.
This happy fellow walks very well on the leash and rides well in the car. He is learning to play with toys and has discovered he really likes treats. Go for it, Jeff!! Although he has not counter-surfed yet, his foster mom thinks he could learn that trick very quickly, so she is being vigilant.
When Jeff was at the vet to be neutered, he also had 5 teeth pulled. He is recuperating nicely and the surgeries have not slowed him down at all. He also had a minor ear infection that is being treated.
Keep watching for more about Jeff as his personality continues to unfold during his transition from a kennel dog to a house dog. A comfy home life is agreeing with him as his foster parents prepare him for life with his furever family. Could you handle 42 pounds of wiggle butt at your house?
