Original:“A Velcro girl, Jazzy likes to check in frequently with her foster dad when they are outside together in the yard.”
Jazzy became a MAESSR girl when her West Virginia owner died and remaining family members were unable to keep her.
This good girl is housetrained and is crated when her foster dad is at work. She is monitored by video and does bark. As she gets more used to her life in her foster family, she should be less afraid of being left alone. For the rest of the time, she has free roam of the house and does fine. Although Jazzy uses the dog door to go inside and outside on her own, her foster dad lets her outside frequently though a door. At night Jazzy sleeps on the bed with her foster dad and does so the entire night without getting up.
Jazzy has nice house manners. She is not a counter-surfer, nor does she get into the trash. She was a very polite girl when she came into her new household and did not get on the furniture. Once she realized it was accepted behavior from the resident Springer, she followed his lead and now shares the couch! This sweetheart loves to carry around a small stuffed animal and chew on retriever rolls.
Outside, Jazzy loves rides in the car and loves having the air in her face. She takes walks on a leash and stays with her foster dad at outdoor events, but does bark at other dogs. Jazzy and the neighbor’s dog love running the fence line together, quite enjoying themselves. A Velcro girl, Jazzy likes to check in frequently with her foster dad when they are outside together in the yard. As with most Springers, Jazzy likes to play in her yard but really enjoys putting her nose to the ground in a journey around the yard!
Jazzy is good with the resident 13 year old Springer, but she barks at other dogs and horses. There are two resident cats in the house too. She is curious about them but gets along fine and does not chase. She has not had the opportunity to meet any children yet.
The groomer said Jazzy did well but does not like her feet handled. Foster dad has cleaned her ears, but again, she did not like that very much.
Jazzy’s forever home will need to continue to work with her on separation anxiety issues. They will be greatly rewarded for their efforts since Jazzy is a wonderful dog!
