Update 06/25/08:
Jay has regained so much mobility since being put on one of the newer glucosamine products for joint health. His foster mom believes it must be a wonder pill! Jay now chases tennis balls and jumps from the front porch of his foster home – bypassing the steps entirely just because he can – and this is from a boy that could barely walk when he first came into foster care. What an incredible improvement to witness! He will soon be on a daily maintenance dose of this supplement and will want his adopting family to keep him on it.
One thing that hasn’t changed is Jay’s personality. He has the sweetest, gentlest personality. Some family is going to get really, really lucky when he comes to live with them.
Original:
Jay was turned in to a shelter because the previous owner could not find any place to rent in the entire state that would allow a dog. Jay was then rescued by a wonderful MAESSR volunteer and his life just started to get better.
Jay is a very easy going boy to have around. He is laid back. He just wants to be with you and to know that he is loved. He is housetrained and has great house manners. Jay is crate-trained, but he does not like a crate much and there is really no reason to crate him. He is great with other dogs. He likes people of all ages. You could not ask for a better companion.
Jay is on glucosamine for his arthritis, which will need to be continued after he is adopted.
Do you need someone to hang out with? Jay is the boy for you!
