Update 11/19/2013: “Wishing there could have been more time for walks with your foster family and running in the field………..”
When Jasmine’s family experienced a major change in their lives and could no longer care for her, a MAESSR family was ready to welcome her to their home. If for a short time, she was loved and cared for as one of their own. After months that would be truly golden for any Springer, she quietly slipped away to the Bridge.
It was great to make your acquaintance, Jasmine. Wishing there could have been more time for walks with your foster family and running in the field…………….
Original: “Fifteen years young, with a lovely black and white coat that sports gorgeous ticking, Jasmine is a dignified, regal lady.”
Beautiful Jasmine is in need of a new home due to her Pennsylvania owner moving to Florida to take care of his aging mother. Fifteen years young, with a lovely black and white coat that sports gorgeous ticking, Jasmine is a dignified, regal lady. She seems to know that she is beautiful, too!
Despite her age, Jasmine does not have major health problems. She is somewhat deaf most likely due to chronic ear problems that she had in the past. A joint supplement is given to her every day to help her with the aches and pains we all experience as we age. And, occasionally, she doesn’t quite make it outside when she needs to go to the bathroom, so frequent trips outside is best for her.
Such big changes have occurred in Jasmine’s life. In her foster home, she tends to pace around the house and then stop and stare for a few seconds. She then begins her pacing again. She flinches when petted if she does not see someone coming, so her foster mom feels it is best for people to let their presence known before giving her a little pat to avoid startling her.
Jasmine is very treat motivated and enjoys treats throughout the day. What the heck, when you’ve reached 15, you deserve some extra treats! She is a bit on the thin side, perhaps from her pacing. She had not been a strong eater in her new home until her foster mom added a few pieces of chicken in her food. Now that it contains the good stuff, Jasmine gobbles it right up!
With other dogs, Jasmine is fine. She doesn’t really interact with them much. There are three children in her foster home, ages 11, 12 and 14, and she is fine with them, too. She enjoys her walks very much. In fact, she takes walks twice daily and can easily go three miles! She passes other dogs, joggers, and bikers without even a bark. There is a fenced-in field where the dogs are allowed off leash, and Jasmine runs like a puppy. What a joy for her!
Beautiful Jasmine is looking for a special family to give her a loving home in her golden years. This sweet girl just wants the simple things in life: attention, love, and the pampering she deserves. Would you take her into your heart and home?
