Original: Jake was rescued from a shelter in Chesterfield County, he is 6 to 7 years old, liver and white. Apparently, Jake belonged to an older man, and it was just the two of them for most of his life. When his owner got sick and died the family could not or would not keep him. His care certainly was neglected for some time because he was a very sick boy when he came to us. He had pneumonia, fleas, matted fur, an eye infection, an ear infection and the sweetest demeanor you wish for. How anyone could not want him is a mystery to me.
Update: Jake’s foster family were so taken by him that they decided to adopt him. He has brought much joy to their home!
