Jack’s Maryland owner had recently gone through several major changes in her life. Unfortunately, the changes were causing Jack to have some problems and his owner felt that it really was not fair to Jack to keep him. He needed a new start. The decision was very hard but was in the best interest of everyone involved. So, Jack became a MAESSR boy.
An obedient dog, Jack went for training when he was a puppy and knows “sit,” “stay,” “come,” and “down.” He walks great on a leash and is good off-leash. When Jack is on a leash, he isn’t good with other dogs. When he is off-leash, he is good. In his foster home, there are no cats so it is unknown how Jack would be with a feline friend. He has a low prey drive though.
Jack would rather play ball than eat. He LOVES to chase a tennis ball. One would think that at 9 years old he would have slowed down but, oh no, he will play as long as his person will throw the ball for him.
Housetrained and with great house manners, Jack has never been in a crate nor has he needed to be in one. At night Jack sleeps on a dog bed beside his foster parents’ bed. He is very good and stays right there until morning.
Jack is a real sweetheart and is going to make some lucky family very happy.
