Updated 6/24/07: Izzy is continuing to do great in her foster home. She has not skipped a beat since her spay procedure. She has still not mastered potty training but at this age, that’s very understandable. Steady progress is great. She is doing great in her crate too.
Like all good Springer pups (and they all are good), Izzy loves playing with her sibling, George, the resident springer and the children in the home. She pays no attention to the resident cat and is good at riding in the car. She’s ready for an active family who will love her to pieces, wear her out every day with play, and teach her all the things that a well-mannered Springer needs to know!
Original: Izzy and her four siblings came into MAESSR’s care from a shelter in Maryland. A shelter volunteer took them into her home for a few days until they were moved into MAESSR foster homes.
Izzy is a typical fun loving Springer puppy that is experiencing new things all the time and learning each day. She is in the process of learning to walk on a leash, play with toys, and learn basic commands such as “sit” and “come.” Housetraining and crate training are both going well; they are just not mastered yet.
Izzy is sharing his foster home with litter mate George, the resident 5-year-old Springer, one cat and several children. This little girl is scheduled for her first vet visit soon so a health update will be forthcoming.
Izzy will make a wonderful addition to a family that has the time and patience to devote to the training and raising of an active puppy.
