Horace was dumped at a remote location in West Virginia. He was found by a nice local couple who took care of him until he could be placed with MAESSR. He has a wonderful springer temperament and loves children. He is good with children as young as two. He likes to play ball and frisbee…but doesn’t always like to give them back. Horace likes to chase cats and will not be placed with a home that has one.
Please excuse Horace’s short haircut. His hair was faded to almost caramel color and was very matted…so he got a very short “summer” cut. Horace is a very handsome boy.
The best thing about Horace is his sweet disposition. I would highly recommend an obedience class for Horace. He is very smart and would love to learn the basic obedience commands. He has responded very quickly to learning the rules of his foster family such as not going upstairs or hopping on the furniture. He does not get into any mischief. He loves a good run but has always responded when we whistle to call him back to us. He loves to play with a tennis ball or basketball outside. Horace is crate-trained, but would prefer to cuddle up on a big fluffy dog bed. He is very calm in the house and quickly settles down after outside play to curl up at your feet.
Would you like to cuddle with Horace?
Update 6/24/03
Horace found a family to not only cuddle with but to spoil him rotten!
