Homer was left behind when his family moved away. They left him saying that his name was Homer, and that he loved Doritos. They said he would even take the Doritos out of your mouth. Homer was huge when he came. His hair was about six inches long, and he was extremely matted, so matted, that he had to be sedated to be shaved. Once shaved, he looked beautiful. Homer was extremely gentle taking treats, and loved having his head rubbed.
Unfortunately, Homer had severe hip dysplasia. His funny walk was not due to obesity or laziness, but because he was in constant pain. Whether due to the hip condition, or something else in his past, Homer would snap and try to bite anyone or anything who handled or touched his hind end too roughly, which unfortunately included those of us trying to help him.
Because of his temperament issues and the limited chance he had for a full recovery from surgery, Homer was sent to the Rainbow Bridge.
