Update: The first of the Mongtromery Nine to find a home! Hero went home with his new family. They met him at a rescue fair and simply fell in love!

Hero is the sire of the 8 puppies. He is a tri-colored Springer. This means that he is liver and white with tan highlights on his eyebrows and cheeks. He’s a nice boy, and like his sons, needs socialization. His first night in foster care, he was surprised by the television. He barked at it to let everyone in the house know of the impending danger!
Hero is a real sweetheart. He is a lively and energetic boy who is eager to please. Although he lacks any formal training and doesn’t know any commands yet, he is very well mannered and gentle. He is very smart and would probably excel in obedience class. He does not jump on people, stays off the furniture, and does not chew on things around the house. He is housebroken, good on a leash, and quiet most of the time. Hero is a little shy but is quickly learning to trust people. He loves to be around other dogs, especially if they want to play! He does have a high prey drive, so we wouldn’t recommend him to a family with cats. He would make a great jogging partner or a good friend for an older child. He will be a devoted pal to the lucky family that adopts him.
