Harold came to MAESSR when his Virginia family divorced. He had lived with two young boys and a cat in his original home. The family was extremely sad to let the “perfect” dog go, but felt it would be better for Harold.
The minute Harold’s foster mom met him, she knew he was a sweetie pie. He is just such a good boy and is always happy. Harold gets very nervous when it is time to ride in the car, though. His foster mom is hoping this behavior will quickly change as he gets more exposure riding in a car.
This youngster will pull on the leash when going for a walk, but quickly settles down and walks nicely. He has great house manners with only an occasional attempt at counter-surfing. Harold is crate trained, but he can also be left with free roam of the house when his foster parents are at work since he is reliably housetrained and does not get into mischief.
When it is spa time, Harold is wonderful for a home grooming session. He helped his foster mom by scooting around to ensure that no spot had been missed. Harold is even good about letting you put his ear drops in! He just stands still so you can rub his head as you do it.
This boy is definitely a keeper.
